Articles

I’ve written these articles from my own experiences, both in the workplace and in everyday life, especially from the learnings I’ve collected as a UX designer and user researcher. They reflect my ideas, observations, and findings about how psychology shapes the way people interact with products, and why people behave the way they do.

As designers we navigate a blend of ego, expertise, and empathy, and every decision we make is delivered to the unpredictable ‘quirks’ of human cognition, in our users. People rely on mental shortcuts, habits, and emotional cues to interpret what they see, which means our designs must work with the mind rather than against it. Understanding these patterns helps us create experiences that are not only persuasive and motivating, but also genuinely supportive of how people think and act.

Accessibility sits at the centre of this work. When we design with inclusion in mind, we improve usability for everyone, build trust, and demonstrate a commitment to fairness. It’s not an optional aspect—it’s a fundamental part of designing responsibly.
